A little family time

We went out to eat last night and Aubrey was so interested in every food item we ordered. It must be almost time for solids! I was going to wait until 6 months but I know they say 4 months is OK too so we'll see.

Memorial Day

It's Aubrey's first Memorial Day and we celebrated it with a nice patriotic outfit and a cookout with her Daddy's family.

It was on the lake and Lake of the Woods and there were so many people there it was almost overwhelming for her. We left early but she was still a happy little girl when we left.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today was my first Mother's Day and I must say it was a good one. It would have already been good because I have my sweet baby girl but I actually got out and did stuff.

First, Alex and I went to the movies last night and saw Dark Shadows. Yeah, I know seems kind of high school but I love Tim Burton movies and what girl doesn't like Johnny Depp? I think I've seen every Tim Burton movie there is! Moving on...

Now for actual Mother's Day. Alex got me a card saying how much he loved and appreciated me, and Aubrey got me one as well. He he. We then went down to Orange to see my family. We went out to eat at a small restaurant with my mom, step-dad, some of his family, my two sisters; Michelle, her husband and kids and Holly and her kids, my Mema and Grandaddy and my Uncle Chuck. I even got a flower from the restaurant.

A visit from great-grandma

Alex's grandmother finally made it up from Christiansburg this weekend and met Aubrey. She thought she was so cute but we all new that of course. She was so impressed with how Aubrey can already roll over and sit up pretty well.

Over the weekend we went to Target and of all places I found a "Born in 2012" onesie, complete with cute pants, a bib and a jacket she will never use. Oh, well! I have been looking for one probably since before Aubrey was born and could only find, not so great handmade ones on Etsy.com.
