Happy Birthday, Daddy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!

Today Alex turned 24. It's so weird to be married to someone who is younger than you. Only 9 months younger though. :) 

I made him birthday pancakes and they were so sweet! And I don't mean sweet like awesome, I mean melt your teeth SWEET! They were alright to me but Alex liked them a lot which is the important thing.

Birthday Pancakes

Pancakes:

1 cup Original Bisquick® mix

1 cup Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® yellow cake mix

3 tablespoons candy sprinkles

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 eggs


 


Glaze and Garnish:

1 cup powdered sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Additional candy sprinkles  

Prep time is about 15 minutes.

Cook time is about 20 minutes.
About 8 - 10 pancakes with this recipe. 

Later in the afternoon we went to The Cheesecake Factory. Mmm. I love that place! But let me tell you this one was set up so weird. I'm so used to big palace looking buildings when I go there but this one was so small and two stories. I thought for sure we would be disappointed. As we walked in there was an elevator and on the top floor it was the restaurant. So crazy! I've never seen that before in my life. I had the Chicken Madeira and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake and Alex had the fettuccine with chicken, a margarita that was straight up tequila and the Dulce De Leche cheesecake.

I bought Aubrey her first pair of baby Converse. They are pink and so adorable! I can't wait for her to wear them out in public.

PARTY TIME!!

What a night! Aubrey woke up randomly at 2 AM and wanted to watch TV. How do I know she wanted the TV? That is the only thing that kept her quiet. Not a fresh diaper, not a bottle, not a story or cuddling. She really is developing her own little personality.

Aubrey tried solid food today for the first time. Not so crazy about the rice cereal but sweet potatoes are a go! I think we've created a sweet potatoes monster!

I walked into the living room tonight after stepping out and this is how Aubrey was sleeping.

"Ah, this is the life!" She's so cute I can't stand it sometimes!

The weather was amazing today so I thought I would take advantage of it and do a small photo session with Aubrey at the park. It turned out about as good as I could get it because once I started taking the pictures she became a little hermit crab. I gave some of them a vintage look for effect because the sun was terrible today.

Happy Birthday to my nephew Ethan!

We went to the mall to hang out before we headed down to Orange for Ethan's birthday party and Aubrey had a hat day. He he. We kept seeing cute hats to buy for her but it's Summer in Virginia. Not hat season. I also went to see my OB from when I was pregnant and had that devil Mirena removed. I never really talked about Mirena in other posts but I had it put in at the beginning of April and even right now, the day it was removed and I am STILL bleeding! It was horrible! I bled and bled and bled some more. Never really getting a break. Not worth it to me at all. It even made me crampy all of the time. I am glad it works for some people but it did not work for me. I know I will just have to be cautious now.

It also poured today. It was awesome! I've always loved the rain. I found it funny though that it rained so hard today and there were tornado warnings because when my sister had my nephew Ethan, it was the same type of weather. Thunder, lightening, pouring rain, tornado warnings and all the works!

We went shopping today at Kohl's and Aubrey was striking some seriously cute poses. She had one that cracked me up because she was leaning on the side of the shopping stroller doing a cool kid pose. Kohl's was having a really good sale so she got some really cute pajamas and Alex finally got some new clothes too.

4 months!

Aubrey is 4 months old today and ready for Summer! Where did the time go?


















I just realized today that it's already June. Duh, Gen! I mean I even already posted an entry in June and didn't even realize it, ha ha. This year is going by insanely fast. I mean, Aubrey is not even considered a newborn anymore. She's an infant. /:

Family celebrations

Today was my nephews birthday party and we went to Louisa to celebrate it. Aubrey even got a cute new outfit from my Mother. It's purple and zebra striped.
