So I had my gallbladder surgery done this past Thursday, the 22nd and I'm still a little doped up on pain meds but I am not in much pain. It went better than I expected.
We dropped Aubrey off with my sister Holly around 6 am and headed to the hospital. I was checked in by 8:30 am and in my room by 9 am. I had my IV put in and waited for them to come get me. Alex once again took off and left me alone. He's so impatient! It gets annoying sometimes!
At about 11:45am they came and got me. The anesthesiologist came in to talk to me and I joked about not wanting to die where he shrugged it off and didn't seem to give me a reassuring answer. Scary! I was then wheeled into the O.R. and it was so cold in there. Almost like a morgue. I even asked how they could stand it in there and that's the last thing I remember. I woke up back in my room to a nurse bitching to Alex about me not wanting to wake up and Alex explaining to her that we have a new baby at home and that is why I was so groggy.
I mean, no sleep at night and meds to knock my ass out for surgery and I am supposed to wake up like Mary Sunshine? Get real!
When I woke up Alex had gotten me a card, two cute new outfits for Aubrey and a clay kit with picture frame for her hand prints. [:
We left the hospital around 3 pm and headed home. My sister agreed to keep Aubrey a little longer that night so we could both nap because Alex was tired too. At about 8:30 pm, Alex picked up Aubrey and brought her home. I was so happy to see my baby girl but so doped up!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
Aubrey had her first St. Patrick's Day today!
I put on her holiday outfit and we headed to her great grandparents house. Alex had to work but I sent him pictures. We hung out with my Mema and she made us hot chocolate and then we went to get some Chinese food and head home.
When we got home Alex showed up with a pizza so I had a little bit of pizza too. He he. I definitely made sure to take some of the medicine for my gallbladder ahead of time so I didn't have an attack.
Showing off her true Irish!

thirty six
Aubrey had to go to the emergency room last night. What a great way to spend our baby's one month "birthday!"
She was fine all day and then about 6 o'clock pm she started wetting her diapers A LOT! I'm talking like 3 or 4 diapers filled with pee every hour so we called the pediatrician on call and she told us to take her to the E.R. so we did.
When we got there it took them forever to see her. We had a nurse who could barely speak English and the doctor didn't act like she knew what to do. They decided to put a bag in her diaper to catch her urine but it didn't work so they decided to draw some blood. That was horrible! I had to leave the room because I couldn't watch.
When I came back in I knew where she was because I could hear her crying and Alex was mad. Apparently the nurse had screwed up and dropped her tube of blood on the floor, having to start over. They then decided to take some urine through a catheter and Alex again went with her for that. When he came back he told me it didn't even phase her. She never even made a peep. So then we waited.
They came back and said her urine was fine and her blood was fine for things like diabetes but her iron was lower than they would like it to be so they decided to keep her. I didn't think that would happen so of course I stayed with her. They took her upstairs to the pediatrics ward and monitored her all night.
I slept in the most uncomfortable chair ever and Aubrey was basically behind bars in a metal baby crib. Alex went home for the night because there was no place for him to sleep and I have to admit I was a little annoyed because he seemed so willingly to go.
The next day they decided to let her go home and it started snowing very hard. It hardly snowed the whole winter and when we get a couple of weeks from Spring it snows terrible. Story of my life!
By the time Aubrey was able to go home it was snowing pretty bad and it took Alex a while to get there but he did. We then had to go to my appointment for my gallbladder at another hospital and by the end of the we just wanted to go home.
They did decide that my gallbladder needed to go so that will be coming out in March.
My poor little Aubrey. She still had the IV in her arm. ]:

Baby toes
Happy Birthday Aunt Sabrina and Pappaw!!
Aubrey and I went to my sister Holly's house today. She had surgery on her foot and will be out of work for over a month so we have been keeping her company.
Aubrey even got a baby pedicure which she loved!
She looks a little cross-eyed. He he.
